白鳥 (Le Cigne)

 

               Fresh activity and an elegant yet playful scent.  Dimed roses and bunnies with ears held low.  Center pond, a singular royal swan white as the winter just passed.

              

Opens with G to D pedal in the bass.

Opening melody is G, F#, B up to E, D down to G up to A.  A note lands on A-7.

               No formal transcription here, first section chords bounce around among A major, E major, and B7 thrown in there.  This bit repeats.  Next section turns to A- and throws in E7.  Grateful for a straightforward piece!  Listening throughout, I don’t hear any tricky sections.

 

               Another synthy end tag!  C major add 9 voiced like C G D E.   D-9 voiced D A F E, then G major add9 voied G D A B.

               Liquid Air, summered gush of wind, humid night under flannel blankets of stars.  Sweat mixed with tears.  Countless indigo.  Sighs that release burdens into clouds.  An unsung knight.

四季より「春」第1楽章 (Spring 1stmov. from "Four Seasons")

 

Didn’t go too deep with this one, E major… I  IV  V stuff.  E major, A major, B major chords.  Modulates to key of B major part way through…diminished passing chords here and there.  Also modulates to relative minor (C# minor) when it gets spooky sounding!

               There is one chord change to A-, same texture though, prolly just a bass note change.  Then resolve on G major.  WOOO!

               With vigor!!  Mainly key of G major… chords are G major, C major, D7.  Some G sus7 action happening that modulates to D major, eventually an A7 chord…then C major…E7…A-…D7.  That’s a bite size version of what happens with this one.
