The low-bit blurred resolution you
get from an 18th century digital Monet, “Digital Kabuki Actress”
paints a picture of the tragedy of early Japanese theater. A discarded woman garbed in traditional
Kimono and white face makeup looks over her left shoulder, glancing back
remorsefully at her off screen homeland.
With her sopping wet white paper umbrella drooped over her right
shoulder, she faces forward and slowly pushes forward towards the unknown. The rain thickens.
Inspiration for this one drawn from
Hiroshi Yoshimura (EP parts) and Incubus (guitar fills) and Chinese classical
music (synth riffs). As always, vocal
harmonies influenced by Gutevolk, and melodies by various Jpop gals (Asami
Kado, LIA, Unmo, Gutevolk).
